Game Of Thrones Sezonul 6 Episodul 7
Following last week's Braveheart -inspired speech made by Daenerys, in which she was clearly channeling some William Wallace vibes, we were left wondering whether it is actually possible for us to finally see the Khaleesi make it to Westeros.
This, however, does not seem very likely—because it looks like it's time for ‘revenge mania' in Westeros. Jaime wants revenge, Sansa wants revenge, Yara and Theon want revenge and pretty much everyone else wants it too. Mischievous kiss season 2. Seeking vengeance, however, in the best of Game of Thrones traditions, does not actually mean that it will be obtained by any of the individuals listed above.
In its description of Sunday's episode, HBO says: “The High Sparrow eyes another target. Jaime confronts a hero. Arya makes a plan. The North is reminded.” So what can we expect?
It seems that the hero that Jaime Lannister will be confronting in Episode 7 is Brendan “the Blackfish” Tully. Blackfish is Catelyn Stark's uncle who, in Season 3, managed to escape the carnage of the Red Wedding and is now in charge of Riverrun. With Jaime removed from the Kingsguard by his own son, it looks like he is going to try and take over Riverrun in order to fill in the void that has been left by King Tommen's rejection of his services. Does this mean that we are about to see the epic siege of Riverrun? If so, then, needless to say, the Game of Thrones death count is about to skyrocket. But that's not something we're not used to.
While Jaime is away, it looks like Cersei is all alone and in trouble with Olenna Tyrell in the King's Landing. Although the Queen of Thorns should be happy about the return of her beloved granddaughter Margaery, with her long, untouched hair that Cersei can only be jealous of, it seems that Olenna is still not impressed. In the episode's preview, Olenna Tyrell is seen lashing out at Cersei and blaming the Queen Mother's “stupidity” for all of the misfortunes of House Tyrell and House Lannister. Will Olenna be one of the lucky people on whom Cersei unleashes her demonic-looking, armor-wearing monster? We will have to wait and see. We are, however, left wondering: who is High Sparrow's next target? He has Margaery, he has Tommen; who else could he possibly need?
It also looks like Jon and Sansa are finally going on a mission to remind the North and bring together an army of old friends to face Ramsay Bolton. In this episode Sansa will probably have to explain and defend her choice of marrying Ramsay, which will, once again, contribute to her character building, although we did have plenty of this in last week's episode. Doesn't Sansa Stark remind us of her mother Catelyn Stark more and more?
In the final moments of the episode's preview Sir Davos reminds us all that the real war is that between the living and the dead and that they are coming. Does this mean that we are getting closer to the moment that everyone has been waiting for since Episode 1, Season 1? Or shall we just continue making bets as to who makes it first—Daenerys or the White Walkers? Let's just hope it's Dany and the dragons.
But finally, who is ‘The Broken Man'? We will have to wait and see.
