I also just re-installed on windows 8. I went surprisingly fast, about 3 minutes per pack except Hot Date which was longer. I went in game and didn't see plumb bobs over the houses, pretty sure they usually show up. Tried Bob Newbie's tutorial, which I didn't need but figured Betty may not show up if I skipped it. The game closed right after buy a chair. Either he didn't like my choice or the game has a problem. Download ultraman fighting evolution 3 ps2 iso converter. I went back in and checked out the Goth family. Seemed ok but save wouldn't work, then the game closed after a few tries. Oh,also while loading the packs, Hot Date said it needed 60 ram memory, something like that. Said I didn't have enough and the game might lag. I decided to finish figuring it's windows 8 and it was a mistake. I got the same message on each pack after that except for Making Magic, it's possible I forgot if it did or did not say at this point. I checked later and my pc has approximately 80% free space. New PC and nothing on but 2 Sims Stories.
I looked at the folder too. Downloads is the first folder listed with Expansion packs, GameDate, etc. after it. Is this where the downloads folder should be? It's also filled with downloads from each pack. If I add anything, is it in this downloads or should there be another folder? The only thing I remember is walls and floors go into Maxis folders. Hope I explained myself to make sense.
